Te Whare o Rehua Sarjeant Gallery Education would like to welcome adult learners of Te Reo Māori eager to engage with Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori in a creative and practical sense. Naumai haere mai tātou katoa - come have some creative time. Our kaiako (teachers), Vanessa and Sietske will open the akomanga (classroom) to adults wanting to engage with Te Reo Māori. By sharing aspects of the Te Whare o Rehua Sarjeant Gallery and Te Taiao (the natural world) participants will make and conversate, highlighting the use of purakau (stories) and te reo. Participants will be inspired to create a 2D-3D artform, thinking about symbols, other worldly beings, maunga (mountains), stars and things that make you feel happy.  We will draw, paint, cut out and attach imagery onto a paper bowl. Creating intriguing 3D artwork to take away with you.
