Welcome to Puke Ariki - the world’s first purpose-built, fully integrated museum, library and visitor information centre.
Sited in New Plymouth, between the majestic Mount Taranaki and the wild Tasman Sea, Puke Ariki is a place of wonder, of excitement, of discovery and adventure.
Puke Ariki has three permanent galleries that explore the region's history, taonga and natural world and a temporary gallery space that shows short term exhibitions that are either curated in-house or brought in from other museums. Works by historic and contemporary artists are used throughout the galleries to bring Taranaki stories to life.
