We are dying and this is how it feels - Carmen Lahore

In this body of works I have chosen to explore death; through the intertwined themes of ego dissolution, bodily death and societal collapse. Understanding mortality and endings is an essential part of living a full life and yet death is often avoided as a reality and a topic of conversation in our day-to-day life. I have been venturing into uncomfortable territories; so here I am, hoping to offer you a moment of poetry and solace, as you come on a wander with me.

In this series, I work with vibrant acrylics and I am interested in symbols and accumulations – plants, animals and objects – to create a sense of Reverence. You are invited to contemplate over your own small place in the grand scheme of Life.

I move through each piece with curiosity, interested in revealing what is already there: Change, Wonder and Beauty. This is where we meet.
