Te Whare o Rehua Sarjeant Gallery is pleased to be able to support a new initiative that brings together two UNESCO Cities of Design – Whanganui and Dundee. Artists Matthew McIntyre Wilson and Dundee-based, Hannah Sabapathy have been selected to participate in ‘Textile Legacies’, an exchange exploring how ancestral textile knowledge shapes modern design. Sabapathy will give an introduction to her practice and talk to her time in Whanganui. This exchange has been generously supported by the British Council New Zealand.
