I have a mug on my windowsill which says ‘Find joy in the or- dinary things’. These paintings have been created with no other purpose than to lift my spirits. Some remind me of favourite places, books and characters and some I painted simply because I was inspired by the colours or the subject... in painting all of them, I found moments of happiness.
