Artist Floor Talk - Karen Johnston: "may i be i" don't try to understand it. textile works inspired by the poetry and life of e.e.cummings.

Our current solo artist Karen Johnston will share her ideas, inspiration and processes that have taken her on the journey of creating her solo exhibition inspired by the life and works of e.e.cummings. Karen will talk to the works, many of which have used experimental methods and techniques, both traditional and modern, to transfer the inspiration she receives from reading the poetry of e.e.cummings and from studying aspects of his life. This project is the culmination of a fascination with the radical and timeless expressions of e.e.cummings.
