Fortune is a sumptuous assortment of dim sum dishes, wontons, dumplings, pork buns, spring rolls, and more, all carefully crafted in wool.
Bev Moon is an Auckland-based artist, exploring history and culture through drawing, sculpture, painting, and textiles. Fortune is an homage to her mother and grandmother - both excellent cooks and knitters - and an examination of the early Chinese settler experience in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Open 10am-4.30pm daily until 14 July 2024. Closed Good Friday. Admission is free. Koha for the museum is always appreciated.
