Creative Fibre Taranaki 2022

Creative Fibre are the New Zealand organisation for all fibre crafts. Their group bring together spinners, weavers, knitters, dyers, flax workers, felters, crocheters, free form fibre artists and all other people involved in the use of fibre. They have over 3000 members throughout New Zealand and around the world who share a passion for fibre.

For this biannual exhibition at Percy Thomson Gallery, in Stratford, prizes are awarded across several categories. These include design expertise, the use of colour and specific fibres such as silk, alpaca, flax, wool, linen and cotton. There is also an award for a first-time entrant to encourage new members and another award for the most creative use of New Zealand design or materials, with particular reference to Taranaki.

Percy Thomson Gallery is a proud supporter of the Creative Fibre Taranaki Group. A beautiful exhibition celebrating textiles that we are proud to present every two years, and this time, during the Centuria Taranaki Garden Festival and Taranaki Arts Trail 2022.
