Francis has kindly agreed to venture down from Tamaki Makaurau, to present at Percy Thomson Gallery during our exhibition 'Gathered Voices'. A special opportunity to hear about the touring exhibition and the history of the Fletcher Trust Collection. Come along, have a glass of wine, and listen to one of Aotearoa's great art practitioners in Taranaki's best public regional art gallery.

[BIO] Francis was appointed curator of the Fletcher Trust Collection in 2019, taking over from Peter Shaw, who had held the position since 1991. He is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of the Collection, recommending purchases, and organising exhibitions and other special projects, so that the public can enjoy the Collection.He is a writer, gallerist, and exhibition-maker. He holds a Master of Arts in Art History from the University of Auckland Waipapa Taumata Rau. Since October 2019, he has been curator of the Fletcher Trust Collection, a major private collection of Aotearoa art. In February 2022, he and Jade Townsend opened Season, a commercial gallery based in the centre of Tāmaki Makaurau. He has written essays for exhibitions at public and commercial galleries, and has contributed to a range of arts and culture magazines and websites, including Art Collector (Australia), Art News Aotearoa, The Spinoff, and the Pantograph Punch.
