Working in acrylic, the artist offers up sloshed colour forms and vibrating print in small, pleasure-inducing portions. Created during a time of domestic confinement and recovery, these works explore the constant push and pull of the force of family, home and the outside world.

Each scene seems like a mingling of sensations held together in an imagined visual world. In these spaces, weak and wind-whipped bodies might rest in fresh moments of sunny calm.

Brooke holds a first-class honours degree in fine arts from Massey University college of creative arts in Poneke where she lives with her young family.
