[Floor Talk] with artist, Chauncey Flay

Chauncey's practice brings together a diverse range of materials including coral, concrete, brick and stone.

For this talk, Flay will talk about his most recent exhibition at Central Gallery, in Christchurch, entitled 'One Million Marks'.
331 days of painstaking work to complete - he will tell stories about gathering 100 stones from across the South Island, including masonry from Christchurch heritage buildings like the Anglican Cathedral, the Arts Centre and the Timeball Station. He then made a bound book containing 10,000 marks created with the unique paint.

Free event. All welcome.
This talk will run for approx. 40 minutes. There will be opportunity to see works in person and ask questions.
