Jewellery Enamelling weekend

Learn the ancient art of vitreous (glass) enamelling over a two day weekend class. Sally has more than 30 years' experience as an enameller and tutor. She welcomes you into her well-equipped studio and adjusts the content to suit individual clients. Typically, a beginner will come away with a range of small pendants.

On day 1:

•  using layers of coloured enamel on copper using flux and silver foil for tonal difference.
• exploring the cloisonne technique.
• using opaque enamels, rods and beads to decorative effect

And then on day 2, you will make one or a few pieces ( ear rings, a brooch, a pendant ) to your own design on copper or silver using the skills learnt.

If you have prior experience, the weekend will allow for skill development under the attentive guidance of Sally.
