Sarah Wilkins is a New Zealand illustrator who works globally across the worlds of picture books and editorial illustration. Her award-winning images can be found on buildings, buses, bags and many other curious places, but they feel most at home on the pages of beautiful books.
The Immigrants written by Alan Bagnall, and The Longest Breakfast by Jenny Bornholdt were shortlisted for the Best Picture Book at the NZCYA book awards. Abigail and the Birth of the Sun, written by Matthew Cunningham won Best Picture Book at the NZCYA Book Awards in 2020.
Sarah’s illustrations have been exhibited at the Salon International du Livre Océanien, New Caledonia, Sharjah Reading Festival, Taipei International Book Fair, The Society of Illustrators New York, The World Illustration Awards, London.
She has lived in Melbourne, Paris and New York and currently works from a light filled studio with a view over the harbour in Wellington, New Zealand.
