LUMEN is a creative and nurturing space focused on the arts and wellbeing. Based at the old cheese factory in Tataraimaka (5mins south Oakura) and nestled in an idyllic valley beside the Timaru Stream surrounded by native forest and exotic gardens. LUMEN hosts exhibitions, workshops and holiday programmes and sells locally made arts, crafts, gifts and Japanese Kimono.
LUMEN is the creative home of Artist and Alchemist Teresa Goodin. Her studio includes a vast library of books which she uses to create complex and colourful handcrafted collages. Teresa also runs a wellbeing clinic at LUMEN where she offers native flower essences, homeobotanicals and a range of holistic services including card readings, rituals, esoteric hypnosis and Buddhist chaplaincy.
LUMEN is located on Surf Highway 45, 20km from New Plymouth, 6km south of Oakura and 6km north of Okato. The Factory is also home to the Molloy Sculpture Trail. The factory is a unique and popular site which hosts outdoor festivals and community events throughout the year.
