Wellington based artist, Chimp One, painted this mural on the side of Square Edge Community Arts during the Street Prints Papaioea Festival in 2020.
"Rangi and Papa’ (Sky father and Earth mother). What an amazing experience to paint for @street_prints. The Theme for Papaioea 2020 was 'Kua Kakahutia Te Rangimarie - Under the cloak of peace'. By creating contemporary depictions of Rangi and Papa I wanted to highlight the connection to the earth that all humans share and leave a reminder that we are in a time where reconnecting to the environment is important for the future of the world and peace."
