Round and Around by Steuart Welch, 2009

Round and Around is a large spiral shaped sculpture by local sculptor Steuart Welch. Sitting atop a concrete plinth in the Bason Botanic Gardens, the large scale work completes the Millennium Hill Lookout and Gopperth Steps. Welch stated that

"In my earlier life as a farmer I would have seen rust as a sign on decay and depression ... As an artist I have learned to embrace it as the true nature of steel."
