The Gables Gallery
Home to local artists across a wide spectrum of art styles and mediums in the historic Gables Hospital building surrounded by a beautiful cottage garden. Located at the Brooklands' entrance to New Plymouth's 'Jewel in the Crown', Pukekura Park, next to the zoo. Always changing, with fresh and exciting works by local artists on display in two exhibition galleries and local art for sale. We aim to have 6 - 8 themed exhibitions per year. A very diverse range of art always on display. The North Taranaki Arts Society welcomes new members, beginners and experienced artists alike.
Gallery Details
Open from10 am Friday to Monday, all year round, including public holidays. The building itself is a listed historic heritage building. The Gables Colonial Hospital building and the cottage gardens are visitor attractions in their own right in addition to the Gables housing the North Taranaki Arts Society's art gallery, where you can find art by local artists exhibited and for sale.
Open when the flags are out, or by appointment outside these hours. Groups are very welcome.
