A workshop to learn up-cycling skills that you can take with you anywhere. Design and stitch a fold-over style bag. The bag could be a shoulder bag, a lingere bag for travelling or gifting, or a cover for your tablet or iPad. Use a fine woollen jersey or jumper that you love, can no longer wear and want to give additional life to, add trims or not as you like, even inside pockets either one or two and nice closures. A great project that doesn’t require the use of a sewing machine and can draw on your treasures and stash. Excellent low carbon footprint activity.
Feel free to bring any fibres or embellishments to incorporate into your work. You will need an old woollen garment, laces, trims, embroidery threads, decorative bits and pieces, silks, perle cottons etc. and a nice button for the closure.
