In the 1980's in his early 20's, art was a significant part of Keith's life as he was greatly encouraged by my school art teacher Alan Stevenson and mentor Pam Walker to take on oil painting at a young age.

Water scenes, reflections and light of Monet paintings were the inspiration for the early works and a few paintings from this era are included in the exhibition.

In the late 80's a decision to start a business put painting on hold for many years. The time needed to relax and enjoy the time at the easel never eventuated until 4 years ago when it was time to get back to art and try to remember what I had learnt many years before.

The paintings included are the learning curve to get back to the easel and although they never seem quite complete and there is so much more to learn, the use of bright colours and scenes from our region have inspired me to show what has been achieved so far.
