Dorothy Andrews Exhibition
for the month of February at Gover St Gallery, New Plymouth
Monday - Saturday 10 - 4pm, Sundays 12 - 4pm
Dorothy Andrews studied art at WITT, Taranaki and graduated with a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Fine Art) in 2012.
She has exhibited in various countries but is continually drawn to New Zealand landscapes, flora and fauna
Her work is inspired by nature and her concern that our decadent way of life is jeopardising our children's rights to become adults in a safe and healthy environment .
This collection of works is a kind of liberation. The drawings have been liberated from frames and a veil of glass, enabling the details to be seen and the colours to shine.
They are about a world without humans, where nature can flourish without restraints
Gover St Gallery is open Monday - Saturday 10 - 4pm, Sundays 12 - 4pm
