Learn to DRIVE your sewing machine and make a recycled gift.

LOCATION: from out of the blue studio galley, 18 Halse Place, Ōpunakē.

TIME: 10am -4pm Shared Lunch. Tea and Coffee supplied.

PRICE:  $50 Maximum of 6 people.

Do you have a barely used sewing machine or it’s been a while since you used one?

Bring your sewing machine and all the accessories, and some old linen or old cotton clothing to practice on.

Please make sure your machine is in working order, and Anne will show you how to thread and sew, and explore the stitch options on your machine. You will make a “stitch library” on a piece of your fabric.

THEN: you will be ready to make a gift from recycled/repurposed fabrics

Options include:

A shoe bag for your luggage
Draw string bags for swimming/toiletries/ seed saving etc. Fruit bags for shopping

WHAT TO BRING:  

Sewing Machine and ALL accessories/plus extension cord (serviced please. I can do clean and check over but don’t bring one that has been in a cupboard for 100 years please:)

Scissors/sewing Pins/Needles/Your favourite coloured thread
Any fabric or garment scraps, old linen you love
Pen and paper to write and make notes
Your phone or camera for recording your progress is useful for later.

Spaces are limited to 6 people.
