Art Trail Manawatū 2021 October 16th and 17th

Art Trail Manawatū has been running across our region since 2017. It is a FREE event – for both participating artists and the public. Our artists are in their own studios in Feilding, Palmerston North, Foxton, and Pohangina and we also have hubs at both Square Edge and Caccia Birch House.

Art Trail Manawatū runs yearly, with two main goals:

1. To support and promote artists, offering opportunities for them to develop and sustain viable careers in the arts.
2. To share the beautiful diversity of art available right here in the Manawatū – both with locals and our out of region visitors.

Square Edge aim to position our region as a great place to live, work in, and visit and to recognise it for its strong arts focus.

During the trail we offer:

• A Trail Mix exhibition, showcasing work from each of the artists involved, held at Square Edge Arts Centre over the entire month.
• Online artists profiles, video studio tours, online works for sale, and an artist’s magazine
• Professional development workshops for participating artists
• A FREE guidebook and maps which showcase the work and locations of our artists
• Chances to win artworks
• The unique opportunity to see inside some very special studio spaces and chat to our regions creatives

Make a weekend of it – join us as artists or enjoy a drive through our beautiful Manawatū region and chat to our wonderful artists over the art trail weekend of October 16th and 17th 2021. Art Trail 2021 will be on as a virtual trail regardless of Covid Level at the time - please check out our website for more information.
